    Gadgets for Hire – IT Equipment Rental & Services Policy


    1. Purpose

    This policy outlines the terms and conditions under which Gadgets for Hire provides IT and AV equipment rental and technical support services for events, conferences, meetings, and performances. It is intended to ensure clarity, protect both parties, and promote responsible use of all rented technology.

    2. Scope

    This policy applies to all individuals, organizations, or businesses (“Clients”) who rent equipment or engage services from Gadgets for Hire, whether on a one-time or ongoing basis.

    3. Equipment Use

    • All equipment must be used for its intended purpose and operated in accordance with provided instructions or under supervision from Gadgets for Hire staff.
       
    • Clients are responsible for maintaining the condition of the equipment during the rental period.
       
    • Equipment may not be subleased, modified, or transported to unauthorized locations without prior written approval.
       

    4. Delivery, Setup, and Support

    • Gadgets for Hire will coordinate delivery, setup, and breakdown times based on event requirements.
       
    • Live and/or remote technical support is available during scheduled hours. Additional support may be arranged upon request.
       
    • The client must ensure reasonable access to power sources and notify us in advance of any technical constraints.
       

    5. Liability and Damages

    • The client is responsible for any loss, theft, or damage (excluding normal wear and tear) to equipment during the rental period.
       
    • Gadgets for Hire reserves the right to charge for repair or replacement costs if equipment is returned damaged or non-functional due to misuse or negligence.
       

    6. Cancellations and Refunds

    • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled delivery/setup may be subject to a cancellation fee.
       
    • Refunds are not guaranteed but may be issued in part or in full based on circumstances and advance notice.
       

    7. Payment Terms

    • Payment is due as per the agreed invoice terms. Late payments may incur a fee.
       
    • All rates, including deposits and service charges, will be disclosed before confirmation of service.
       

    8. Confidentiality

    • Any data or information encountered during support will be treated as confidential and will not be stored, shared, or accessed beyond what is necessary for service delivery.
       

    9. Client Responsibilities

    • Provide accurate event details, technical needs, and site access information.
       
    • Ensure a representative is available onsite during setup and takedown, if applicable.
       
    • Use the equipment responsibly and in accordance with all relevant safety standards.
       

    10. Right to Refuse Service

    Gadgets for Hire reserves the right to refuse service or cancel a booking if it is determined that equipment will be used in a manner that poses risk, violates this policy, or breaches safety guidelines.


    By engaging Gadgets for Hire, the client agrees to comply with all terms outlined in this policy.
